• Global Freighter Connections: Atlas Air operates frequent connections at DFW using widebody Boeing 747-400F and 747-8F freighters, linking the central U.S. to major international hubs like Tokyo (NRT) and Anchorage (ANC). 

• The Final 747 Debut: In February 2023, DFW made global aviation headlines by hosting the arrival of the very last Boeing 747-8F ever produced. The aircraft (nicknamed "Empower") was built for Atlas Air and is operated on a long-term charter agreement for freight forwarder Kuehne+Nagel.
